MAGNOLIA GOLF GROUP PROVIDES LEADERBOARD FOR NCAA DIV I MEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS

Magnolia Golf Group recently provided electronic real time leaderboard scoring for the NCAA Div I Men's Golf Championships hosted by Purdue University at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex-The Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Indiana.  The four day tournament starting on Wednesday, May 28th saw UCLA capture its first NCAA Men's Golf National Championship since 1988 by the slimmest of margins, firing a 306 in the final round to win by one stroke over Stanford.

Magnolia Golf Group provided one of their Daktronics LED leaderboards to display real time scores for teams and individuals, along with providing sponsor recognition throughout the entire tournament in full color.  "Many of these student athletes will go on to compete on professional tours including the PGA Tour and we provide the same experience as the tour players with our leaderboards", says Ryan Bartel, Director of Operations for Magnolia Golf Group.  "As each group approached the 18th green we displayed full color head shots of the leaders with detailed information concerning the tournament."

Sponsors were pleasantly surprised to see their company logos displayed in full color on the matrix of the leaderboard scrolling throughout the tournament.  With a large crowd of spectators and fans the real time scores of the teams and individuals helped to keep everyone up-to-date on all the tournament happenings.  This was the fourth NCAA Men's Div I tournament that used Magnolia Golf Group for leaderboard scoring this year including: The United States Collegiate Championship hosted by Golf Club of Georgia, The Augusta State Invitational hosted by Champions Retreat and the NCAA East Regionals hosted by The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
